The Mission of Prophet (PBUH)

What the Prophet's mission is very clear from his own words: "I am appointed to bring perfection to the noble qualities". The implication by the qualities is human characteristics. It is a state of characteristics that are steadfast with human being. The appearance of qualities from man as an inspiration of goodness and exposure of right path are said to be good nature and good character. And the appearance of qualities as an impulsiveness and demonstrations of evil are said to be bad character and bad nature. Naturally, both are assembled in human beings. All enjoy the proportionate influence of good and bad. But some take the lead of virtue and other vice. Only the Prophet is an exception from it.

Life's conditions, the state of man's belief, mental, social, economical, circumstantial, cultural standard,educational and imaginary states and characteristics, familial situation, rituals, habits have exerted influence on man, and according to which man is getting reformed.
"Mankind, in total, come to light matured enough to absorb the natural values. It is his parents who make him Jewish, or Christian, and fire worshipers"-The Prophet's word teaches the idea. Chances play an important role in facing success and failure. Our Holy Prophet (PBH) teaches that "Man takes for granted the life style of his friend, that is why one should think hard on who his friend to be".
Due to the absence of Prophets, preceptors and renascence-heads, the past five centuries before the Prophet (PBH) were marked an historical interval. After the Messenger Eisa (PBH), no where in the world arrived any of the messengers of God. The religion and the ideologies of Prophet Eisa and the ancestral messengers (PBH) were completely decayed into extinct and man's pointed sharp nails had torn them into pieces and distorted. Even the holy Ka'ba that was set up by Prophet Ibrahim (PBH) for worshiping single God which for long decades had been the head quarters of Prophet's works and teachings, became the abode of idol and gambling centre of a sect of people who were synonymous with vice. The state of which is an example of decay and aimlessness brought about by the absence of Prophets (PBH).
After a prolonged interval putting a termination to Prophet hood, the Prophet arrived and carried out the complete exposure of the noble values and qualities. He departed after accomplishing the establishment of complete statutory laws based on truth and justice. Before three months of his departure, during Hajj, in his address on rule of conduct he quoted the Quranic verse "this day have I perfected your religion for you, completed my favor upon you Islam as your religion".
The lineage of God's messengers that he dispatched from the beginning of mankind, for the purification and guidance of the inhabitants on the earth ended with our holy Prophet. In other words, he has been getting completed the establishment of Islam. It was the same ideologies and principles of earlier Prophets that the Prophet instructed. "To establish truth and justice on the earth; to work against injustice and violence and to worship single God" is the basic theory of Islam.
The fixation and spreading of these values which Islam sees are the only way for the emancipation of mankind. |
